- Marufukuro, a hotel that weaves the history of Nintendo
- Nintendo was born in 1889. It all started when Fusajiro Yamauchi opened a small shop in Kyoto to manufacture and sell Hanafuda cards. After that, it started manufacturing playing cards for the first time in Japan and developed into the country's largest card manufacturer. Since its founding, it has used the trade name "Marufuku" in Kagiyamachi, Kyoto. The hotel was named Marufukuro after that name. The former headquarters building was completed in the 1930s. It consists of three buildings: an office building, a residential building, and a warehouse building. The building uses the Art Deco style that was popular in Japan in the early Showa era. It features linear designs, geometric motifs, and bright colors. In order to weave that history, the hotel ''Marufukuro'' makes the most of the original building. It has been revived in modern times with new architecture by world-renowned architect Tadao Ando. Including a new building designed and supervised by Tadao Ando, A library created by Support Design Office, A restaurant the interior of which is designed by the main chef Ai Hosokawa and decorated with a variety of artworks by famous artists. It is packed with ideas and thoughts from various people. While inheriting Nintendo's identity from the Yamauchi family, Please experience "Marufukuro", which has breathed a new breeze into the modern times.
